Smug bastard Sacha Kljestan scores in Anderlecht opening game of CL

I would also look that smug if I had her on my arm. Damn son....

I really don't understand why Sacha ISN'T playing on the USMNT. He has blossomed in Belgium and has, in my opinion, become the player everyone thought he could be.  My only guess for Klinsmann's exclusion is that Kljestan isn't his type of player. I would make the argument that he would be much more valuable than Maurice Edu has been in the last year. Your thoughts?? On Jaime Lee Darley not Sacha sorry. I see how that was confusing.

American midfielder Sacha Kljestan scored in the ninth minute and Anderlecht went on to a 6-0 win at Ekranas of Lithuania on Wednesday night, advancing to the final round of qualifying for the Champions League.

Kljestan also assisted on the second goal for Anderlecht, which won the home-and-home series on 11-0 aggregate.

The 20 teams in the playoff round will be drawn into 10 series on Friday. The playoff winners will join the 22 clubs that qualified directly for the group stage.

Scottish champion Glasgow Celtic won 2-0 at HJK Helsinki on goals by Joe Ledley in the 67th minute and Giorgos Samaras in the 86th for a 4-1 aggregate victory. Panathinaikos beat Scotland's Motherwell 3-0 for a 5-0 aggregate win.

Also advancing were Basel (Switzerland), Cluj (Romania), Copenhagen (Denmark), Dinamo Zagreb
(Croatia), Fenerbahce (Turkey), Helsingborg (Sweden), Kiryat Shmona (Israel), AEL Limassol (Cyprus) and Maribor (Slovenia). Dynamo Kiev (Ukraine) and BATE Borisov (Belarus) advanced Tuesday.
Six teams start play in the final qualifying round: Borussia Moenchengladbach, Braga, Lille, Malaga, Spartak Moscow and Udinese.
