Terrence Boyd finds a first team home

Via AP DORTMUND, Germany -- United States forward Terrence Boyd is joining Austrian club Rapid Vienna from Borussia Dortmund.

The Bundesliga champion says the 21-year-old Boyd has agreed to a three-year deal with Vienna. It did not give details about the transfer fee.

Boyd scored 20 goals and set up five more for Dortmund's reserve team after coming from Hertha Berlin's second team last year.

Dortmund youth coordinator Lars Ricken says: "Today he's playing for the U.S. national team. It's further proof that you can have excellent prospects through hard work with our second team."

Boyd, the son of an American serviceman and a German mother, made his international debut as a substitute against Italy on Feb. 29. - AP

Hopefully Boyd will get solid playing time with Rapid and continue to develop into the solid up front striker that Klinsmann has been hyping.  I would have loved to see him get some time with Dortmund but if he cant get solid minutes then Rapid Vienna is the best option for him.
